“First I want to thank…

“First I want to thank Stephanie for making our 40th anniversary very special we thoroughly enjoyed 1906 Paradise Found. There were so many things we loved about this property that I’ll try and condense my thoughts for this review into a manageable few paragraphs rather than a novelette. The Beach Club First, let’s talk about the Beach Club, in general, this is a well-run very clean facility think of The Four Seasons, or the Peninsula Hotel if you been to either of those properties you know how top buildings are managed and how they are staffed and what kind of service you expect. We were met by Lisa who started off our tour of the facilities and made us feel at home. The Beach Club is a condominium project that is used mostly by the owners and is rented by about only 40% or 50% of the units so out of just under a hundred units about only 40 of them are available for rent. The whole building is quite and upscale which lends itself to be more for adults rather than children activities. If you have children I would recommend the Portofino Island Resort. The spa and the indoor pool are wonderful to look at but I just didn’t have time to use that part of the building so nothing to report. But there are restrictions as to when a child can use the pool. Lutron Dimmers set the mood When you first walk into the condominium you will find adjustable Lutron dimmers on just about every major lighting bank. The chandelier has two different lights that dim so that in the evening you can really set the mood. In the evening these adjustable lights accent the marble tile floors and allow your eyes to adjust to the lights of the pier and downtown. When you first walk into the condo your eyes are drawn to the turret windows with views of the beach to Fort Pickett to downtown Pensacola. This is a very upscale multi-million-dollar condo looking out at an unobstructed view of the beach to the lights of downtown. In a word the first walk into 1906 is breathtaking. There is a nice trey upfront for your shoes and I like to keep my shoes off and walk in my socks or slippers so I left my slippers upfront for my many arrivals. The Balconies Your balconies are private and that means nobody else can look into inadvertently peer at you from another unit. Then there is the sound from the ocean which is indescribably pleasurable. You can see the sunrise and the sunset from your balconies (weather permitting) and in the evening you can see the lights of downtown from your back balcony. The outdoor furniture is extra comfortable and no cheesy plastic stuff here I think the furniture was Brown Jordan but I didn’t look that close but I did fall asleep on one of the many couches. The Kitchen The kitchen is spectacular from the professional-grade Sub-Zero freezer and refrigerator to the Wolf stove-top to the built-in grill and even a Wolf microwave this kitchen has everything. All of the draws have soft-touch closing. Along with the professional-grade Sub-Zero are two refrigerated drawers where you can keep sodas, can beers or bottled beers etc. This refrigerator drawer works on the honor system take a beer and leave a beer in my case I left a few small bottles of champaign. If you are a wine person you will love the wine refrigerator which looked liked to me to be a Dacor Renaissance 46-Bottle Dual Zone and again this wine cooler is set to a perfect temperature and it once again operates on a honors basis if you take a bottle just replace it. To finish up on the kitchen I will simply say it has everything and is, very upscale with all of the necessary kitchen accouterments from Calphalon skillets and pots and pans to Kitchen Aid mixers and toasters and even a mechanical juicer. Wonderful wine glasses and a Keurig coffee maker are part of the environment and Ok the plates are certainly not Spode but they’re good quality ceramic. The Master Now for the master suite, this is where “Perfection” continues with a bathroom that has its own whirlpool hot tub jacuzzi and its own wood-lined sauna. After your sauna, you may want to try the dual shower which has a view that looks out of the ocean and if you’re so inclined both of you take a shower at the same time. I took advantage of the sauna every night which I thought was sensational and generally made my evenings even more restful and even more peaceful with the sound of the crashing waves. Speaking of restful I had the best night sleep ever and the mattress was perfect. Of course, the endless waves would put an insomniac to sleep. Security Parking was a plus, 1906 Paradise Found came with its own key fob which allowed us to park our vehicle inside and up into the secure area. Speaking of security this is a building you will feel completely safe in and it is wonderful there’s a security to the front drive-in gate, security to go up the elevators and keypad security that allows you to enter keylessly into 1906. Drawbacks Now for the drawbacks and there always are drawbacks. The number one drawback are the televisions. With all of the perfection, there had to be something that wasn’t perfect and they simply don’t have the channel selection that you may want to have particularly when you look at just how spectacular everything else is in this condominium. BUT if you come to the beach and decided to watch TV you might be in the wrong place in your heart and soul. Walk everywhere The Beach Club is walking distance to all of the restaurants that are spectacular and the newest is Drift, The Drift is a short walk on the beach and I enjoyed it we sat at the bar but you could grab a table. The Drift is casual and yet very upscale with high end recipes and top-notch food quality. If you like pizza there is Papa’s Pizza a half a mile down the street but this is sort of a standard Pizza and you’re better off going to Georgio’s across two bridges in Pensacola. There is a liquor store that is nearly on the property which will have everything you need. And there is a convenience store not more than a two-minute walk away if you want to pick up a newspaper or you have forgotten something or you want to fill up your gas tank. Simple the best This is the most spectacular condominium and I would rate it with high-end suites from the Peninsula Hotel, the Ritz-Carlton, or the Four Seasons. I’ve taken a few pictures which I’ve shared on my Google review and I hope that you will understand that nothing in these pictures will remotely do it justice this is simply the high-end condominium right on the beach. This is Pensacola Beach at it’s finest and the fact is that there is NOT a better condominium PERIOD. After staying in rooms at Margaritaville, Portofino Island, and Perdido Beach Resort where we stayed in their most expensive Suite I can truly say I have found my favorite vacation rental in the Panhandle.”
