I was looking for a last minute place for a weekend getaway. By last minute I mean I started making plans on Tuesday evening and wanted to check in on Wednesday afternoon. I received fast responses from Stephanie, and she was more than helpful in helping us with such a rushed request. The area was perfect for us. This time of year it is extremely quiet, not a lot of people on the beach in the winter. There was plenty to do within walking distance of the Beach Club. There is live music across the street, the beach is a short walk out back, there are half a dozen restaurants, a few beach stores, a liquor store, and a gas station all in the area. We drove to Destin and it was cramped and bustling, and we couldn’t wait to get back to Pensacola Beach. We actually turned down a “Free 7 day stay” at one of the resorts in Destin because we knew we would rather pay to stay at the Beach Club again than to spend 2 hours listening to a sales pitch to stay at someplace without the view, the peace and quiet, and the caliber of class that our BeachBum condo provided. I appreciate the effortless check in. Just showing up and going straight to our condo without having to stop at a front desk, do paperwork, or “deal” with anything after the drive down is right up my alley and I really appreciate how streamlined the process is. The condo was superb. Immaculate, well designed (my wife LOVES the beach theme), comfortable, and truly feels like a second home. I’m a pretty critical person and I don’t have a single complaint. The view was amazing. Everything we needed was already there. We just brought food and clothes. How much of a relief it was to not have to go straight to the store to get the things we needed to enjoy our stay. After spending the past few years determined that Waikiki was our penultimate family vacation spot, BeachBumBB made us Pensacola Beach converts. It’s so nice to just jump in the car and drive down to beaches just as beautiful as the ones we loved in Hawaii. Thank you all for such a great family getaway, and we can’t wait to come back again.
